Motorola Moto G5 has Android kernel source code Oreo 8.1 released

The Moto G5 may already be upgraded to Android 8.1, but there is one though! The Kernel code for the mobile update was made available on the GitHub website , however, it is now necessary for a developer to commit to creating a stable custom ROM for the smartphone, since it will receive the update via OTA.
Even though it's a lower version than what is already being made available by Google, which is Android Pie 9.0 , this renewal may give a survival to the Motorola intermediate device.

The Moto G5 was launched here in Brazil in March of last year , along with the G5 Plus . The Motorola device arrived in the country with Qualcomm's entry-level chipset in 2017, the Snapdragon 430, but it proved to be a pleasant option for those not looking for a device with high specs.
Despite having this source available, you still have to rely on the goodwill of the anonymous web programmers to develop a ROM and the smartphone can enjoy Android Oreo 8.1, as it is already happening on other devices.
