Instagram: Learn how to enable two-factor authentication in the app

The Instagram began releasing to its users two - factor authentication , which provides greater security for your account, eliminating the need for SMS. The goal of this safer alternative is to prevent people who use the profile on the social network as a form of work from becoming more vulnerable to invaders.

In your Instagram account, click your profile and go to Menu ≡> Settings> Two-factor authentication . Assuming the setting has not yet been made in your account...

Two-factor authentication can be done in two ways: either manually or through the installation of the Google Authenticator app. That way, there will no longer be a need to rely on codes sent via SMS to log in to your account, as this was one of the biggest problems of those who lost the smartphone or was stolen and had to reset the password.

According to the Android Police website, the security update is available from Instagram update 66 .
