Facebook launches Citizen's Portal to bring users closer to elected politicians

Facebook has already invested in tools to bring voters closer to their candidates for some time , and after the first round of the 2018 elections, some governors have already been defined, as well as senators, state and federal deputies.
Therefore, the company takes a step closer to monitoring information and even the exchange of ideas between voters and politicians. This is the idea behind the Citizen's Portal, a new blue social networking resource that will help people find, follow, and exchange messages with elected representatives and government agencies.
It can be accessed through the main menu of the platform, and lists in your region the government authorities as well as the elected representatives. This is all set by GPS, but of course, an exploration guide brings other agencies from other regions that can also be consulted.
Basically what the resource does is provide a list with these public pages. In addition, they can be viewed in a special feed, that is, totally restricted to queries of what the rulers are doing, projects, personal visions and others.
The novelty is being launched in Brazil today (08), and a curiosity is that the country is being the second to receive it: previously it was available only in the United States, where it was launched in the 2016 election.
It is worth remembering, speaking in GPS location, Facebook has been testing with some users the exchange of more accurate information between the blue social network and the photo platform.
