Google has also focused on the Chrome OS this year. New in this segment is Pixel Slate. It's basically a Chrome OS-based tablet. In addition to web applications, it also handles those android or linux. Pixel Slate is the only new in this category for this year.
Pixel Slate
Google focused mainly on content consumption itself, but creativity did not stand aside. Pixel Slate boasts a custom-built display that is not a standard display panel. He was tuned especially for image quality. In order to support the content itself, Pixel Slate offers two stereo speakers with emphasis on the heights and bass. Both speakers are aimed directly at the user, so you can not cover them by holding hands.
On the front and rear we find 8MPx cameras, with the effect of bokeh. Additionally, the front camera has a wider angle, making it ideal for group video calls.
Within the system, we have experienced deeper integration of the assistant, which will help with, for example, dictation, household control, and other tasks you need to deal with. Security has not been forgotten, which is supposed to support a Titan chip. In addition, Pixel Slate is also a fingerprint reader.
An integral part is a stylus and keyboard attachment. The connectivity is provided here by means of special connectors. The keypad itself has backlit buttons. It also acts as a protective package for whole tablets.
The tablet itself will cost $ 599. The keyboard comes at $ 199, and Google asks for $ 99 for stylus. The whole combination then comes to $ 897, which is approximately $ 26,200 in the calculation and counting of the charge and fees.
