Huawei Mate 20X: a surprise model for gamers?
Huawei last night released a teaser for a smartphone that was not revealed by leaks. The mobile would be called the Mate 20X and it would have an improved cooling system. A function that would target players on mobile.
Here is something rare: a premium smartphone seems to have gone under the radars of leaks and indiscretions. And a flagship moreover, coming from one of the top five phone manufacturers in the world, Huawei. The mobile is called the Mate 20X. And it will be presented next week at the press conference that the Chinese firm will hold in London. The existence of this phone was revealed on Twitter by the firm, thanks to a simple teaser.
A new smartphone for gamers
The teaser in question is composed of a message and a short video sequence from which comes the image that accompanies this article. Both refer to a fast-growing business: mobile gaming. And more precisely the overload on the chipset during a game of 3D. An overload that causes a rise in temperature. The Mate 20X would be equipped with a system that would allow his chipset to keep a cool head. This is not the first time that this is proposed in telephony. But it's still unpublished at Huawei.
This interest for mobile gamers is not surprising. As you know, e-sports is booming on smartphones with the arrival of titles developed for sports competitions, such as Fortnite and PUBG, while historic titles of telephony integrate are the subject of official tournaments, like Clash Royale or Hearthstone. China is not spared the phenomenon, quite the contrary. Hence the arrival of mobile for these users such as Xiaomi's Black Shark , Nubia's Red Magic or Honor Play , to mention only the Chinese brands (but there are also Asus and Razer, of course ).
Will it replace the Mate 20 Pro?
The Mate 20X will be presented in London in a week. And this is the first teaser about it. However, Huawei has largely started its campaign of teasing on social networks, even if it has been packed these days. The absence of the Mate 20X, but also that of the Mate 20 Pro (which has largely leaked), leads us to ask a question: and if the Mate 20X was none other than the new name of Mate 20 Pro? That would explain why Huawei is not talking about the Mate 20 Pro in his teasers published in recent weeks.
Until now, we were expecting three terminals next week: the Mate 20, whose availability would be reduced in Europe , the Mate 20 Pro, which will be present in France as its predecessor, and a supposed Mate 20 Porsche Design (hoping that this partnership still exists). This program will be jostled, obviously. It remains to be seen how: will the Mate 20X come in addition to the others or replace one?
