Google bought Onward to improve its assistant
Google's giant Google has recently bought Onward for AI and creating a range of automated tools for customer service and sales for business purposes.
Unfortunately, the terms of the acquisition have not been published yet, but we know that the founders of Onward, Rémi Cossart and Pramod Thammajah will join the Google team.
"Today we announce the next big step on our journey - Onward joins the Google family! These core technologies have really inspired us, so we are happy to be part of Google, " said Google."With Google, we will be able to expand the reach of our technologies," said Onward.
Google is dedicated to startups
For some time now, we know that Google is investing heavily in large amounts into startup companies working for applications and smart assistant hardware. This step will most likely help the company to increase the overall capabilities of Google Assistants.
Onward has so far developed the technology called Agent Q. This technology in essence worked as a virtual assistant to provide product recommendations directly to customers. So it's more than clear that Google implements this tool to its assistant. But that's not what Onward is all about. Recently, he devoted much of the development to automating customer services using AI.
