Probably most of you have ever played on your smartphone in any of the so-called games. "Racers". Typically, the control is based either on tilting the device in one of the sides or on moving the wheel on the screen. It turns out that such training in the future can be useful when driving a real car. At least this is due to the Ford patent.

Of course, from the patent to the real product the road is quite long, but Ford seems to have an idea of ​​how the future drivers, in principle, passengers will be able to take control of an autonomous car. Of course, one in which there is no steering. Everything would be done through the phone and solutions known from racing games .

Of course, this is not about taking full control of the car. In visions there are vehicles that perform well in all conditions and, in principle, do not need a man to get on the road without problems. The point here is more about giving certain systems on board such as, for example, changing the lane on which the car moves.

Therefore, ultimately a specially prepared application would work with a certain delay. Therefore, the car will not respond to commands issued from the smartphone immediately. Nevertheless, it may also raise some sort of security concerns.

There is a lot of talk about the fact that hackers will be able to break the security of "standard" systems designed to control autonomous vehicles. Making such applications available could probably be another gate for them. Even if it is not possible to take immediate control of the car via the telephone, access to it can lead to dangerous situations. Fortunately, the company should have quite a lot of time for possible work.
