Apple leads the world's best brands for the sixth straight year; Google and Amazon stand behind
Interbrand has just published the newest edition of the list of Best Global Brands of 2018 , which compared to last year's ranking we have few changes, since the same five companies in 2017, but with an oscillation between the podiums.
First of all Apple stands out with a 16% growth over the previous year. The company won the No. 1 position for the sixth consecutive year, as it has not finished the top position since 2012. Interbrand points out that there are three major areas that make Apple's position in the first place:
- Engagement
- Differentiation and
- Consistency
Apple has one of the highest loyalty rates among its loyal consumer customers, as well as being the main differentiator in its trading and support policy, which is also highly praised by many users.
Google appears soon after with the second place in the global list, where it also remained for years and years in the number 2 position. In 2018 Google achieved a 10% increase over last year.
Already the great highlight of the podium is undoubtedly Amazon. In 2017 the company achieved the "highest growth" seal and this year the giant again acquired the same brand with an incredible increase of 56%, beating Microsoft which now ranks fourth with the same growth rate as Apple: 16%.
Fifth, we have Coca-Cola, the only beverage brand in the top 5 of technology, and the company again presented a reduction of 5% over the previous year, which had already guaranteed its -5% in 2017 and showed falls consecutive years since the year 2015, reinforcing that the company really is not in a good moment. Check out part of the Interbrand list with the 10 best companies in the world, out of a total of 100!

It is worth noting that while Samsung recorded a 6% growth, Facebook has fallen by 6% over the previous year, and all this is due to the great scandals and have shaken the social network in recent months.
